Race Stories to Inspire: bloggers share their best race stories

April 25, 2022 • 1 Comment

Not every race goes as planned, but when everything clicks and we meet-even exceed- our goals it can be magical. I’ve had a handful of races where I’ve out performed what I thought I was capable of and surprised even myself with the outcome.

What’s amazing is that the times where I’ve had those experiences the furthest thing from my mind has been the outcome: I’ve been caught up in the moment, focused only on my effort.

Finding out how people tap into their best performances can be really inspiring and informative, which is why I’m teaming up with my Just Run Crew of bloggers to share our best race experiences.

My best race experience is the one I had most recently at the Snowshoe National Championships. I outperformed my own expectations and threw down and great effort in tough conditions.

I’m so proud of the race and look forward to the next time I can feel the joy I felt during that race. You can read my full recap HERE.

Was your best race experience your PR or was it another race where you didn’t necessarily set a personal record but felt a way you’d never felt before?

I feel like I have lacked in the races where things “just clicked and worked” - but rolling with the punches is a new challenge at each race 🙂
